Sally A. Sullivan, J.D., Ph.D., a shareholder in Greenlee Sullivan, has over twenty years of experience as a patent agent and attorney. Dr. Sullivan has written and prosecuted patents in: chemistry, including pharmaceuticals, polymers, liquid crystals, catalysts, combinatorial methods, analytical assays and instrumentation, and mass spectrometry methods and instrumentation; biotechnology, including agricultural biotechnology and plant science, biocontrol genomics, and proteomics; biotechnology instrumentation, including nucleic acid array and assay technologies and biosensors; materials science, including ceramics, membrane technology and carbon nanomaterials; mining and blasting; and optics and telecommunications, including optical filters and related optical devices and lasers. Dr. Sullivan provides counseling on patenting and licensing strategies, patentability, and patent infringement and validity. Dr. Sullivan has an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Hunter College, CUNY and a doctorate in Chemistry from the California Institute of Technology. Dr. Sullivan has academic and corporate research experience in organic chemistry, physical organic chemistry, mass spectrometry, and biotechnology.
